Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested
February 27, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 1:52 a.m., deputies
from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to a convenience store in the 3000 block of Case Road, Perris, regarding an armed robbery. Upon deputies' arrival, they discovered three suspects entered the store with masks over their faces and brandished a firearm. Cash was taken from the register, and the suspects fled the location in a vehicle.
The Perris Sheriff’s Station Special Robbery Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) assumed the investigation. During the course of the investigation, RBST discovered the same suspects were involved with three other armed robberies: one in the City of Riverside, one in the City of Ontario, and another in the Perris area. Over a few months of compiling evidence, the suspects were identified as Deepak Deepak, 22-year-old from Jurupa Valley, Sunny (no last name), 24-year-old from Jurupa Valley, and Malik Ritav, 20-year-old from Jurupa Valley.
On February 24, 2025, with the assistance of the Perris Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team (SET) and Investigations Bureau, RBST served a search warrant in the 3000 block of Flagstaff Drive, Jurupa Valley. The three suspects were detained during the search warrant service, and additional evidence was found.
Deepak Deepak and Sunny were each charged with four counts of robbery and Malik Ritav for possession of a controlled substance. They were all booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
