Crime Stoppers: Home Burglary in Ramona 

March 6, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report that the Ramona Sheriff's Substation and San Diego County Crime Stoppers want the public's help in finding the suspects in a home burglary at a winery in Ramona.

It happened on February 23, around 4:00 p.m., at a home located at Hatfield Creek Vineyards and Winery in the 1600 block of State Route 78 in Ramona.

The thieves stole nearly $15,000 worth of jewelry and collectable coins, similar to the ones shown in the photos below.

The suspects are described as two heavy set, possibly Hispanic, men.

Sheriff's Deputies also received reports from two nearby wineries about suspicious persons seen on their properties on the same day between 3:45 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. An investigation later revealed no thefts took place at those wineries, so no crime reports were filed.

As a precaution, deputies are conducting extra patrols at wineries in the Ramona area.
