Public Help Needed in 2006 Murder of 14-year-old Emmery Munoz
March 6, 2025 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that Central Bureau Homicide detectives,
along with family and friends of Emmery Munoz, are asking for the public’s assistance in her 2006 murder.
On January 25, 2006, around 9:00 a.m., 14-year-old Emmery Munoz was found deceased in the loading dock area of a business located on the 1500 block of Mirasol Street in Boyle Heights. Emmery was last seen alive on Friday, January 20, 2006, in the City Terrace neighborhood of East Los Angeles.
This investigation has spanned over nineteen years and detectives have been unable to obtain any substantial leads in this cold case homicide. The motive of this senseless homicide is unclear and no suspect(s) have been identified.
