March 10, 2025 – Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials hold press conference on several key reports related to Los Angeles County Sheriff logochild abuse.

Sheriff Luna, along with members of the Inter-Agency Council on Child Abuse and Neglect (ICAN), will be releasing several key reports related to child abuse. These include the ICAN Child Death Review Team Report, the State of Child Abuse in Los Angeles County Report, and the Safely Surrendered and Abandoned Babies Report.

ICAN will highlight important trends over the years and will discuss recommended actions to address the traumatic effects of family violence on children. ICAN serves as the County’s official agent bringing together City, County, State, and Federal agencies, along with community partners, to help prevent child abuse and neglect in Los Angeles County, acting as a vital safety net for children.
