Major Injury Crash in San Marcos 

March 10, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Saturday, March 8, just before 10:30 p.m., deputies from the San Marcos Sheriff's Station responded to a vehicle collision at the intersection of S. Rancho Santa Fe Road and Lake San Marcos Drive in San Marcos.

Deputies and San Marcos Fire Department personnel discovered a motorcyclist down in the roadway.

The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital by paramedics with serious injuries.

Investigators are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a vehicle that may have been involved in the collision. The vehicle was described as a white newer model sedan. The vehicle may have driver side damage.
