Child Predator Taken into Custody
March 13, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that in early February 2025, deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s
Station-Special Enforcement Team began an online undercover operation, posing as a 13-year-old female. During the investigation, a response was received from Jimmy Perez, a 39-year-old resident of Hacienda Heights (Los Angeles County). During several weeks of communication with Perez, he agreed to meet and asked for numerous sex acts and photographs for sexual gratification.
On March 11, 2025, deputies located Perez at his residence in Hacienda Heights, where he was arrested without incident. Following his arrest, deputies authored a search warrant for his residence and collected several communication devices. He was booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center for arranging to meet a minor with the intent of sexual acts, contacting a minor with intent to commit sexual acts, exhibiting, and sending harmful material to a minor, and attempting lewd acts with a minor. Perez is being held on a $55,0000 bail.
