Home Invasion Suspect Arrested
March 15, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on August 15, 2021, about 4:00 a.m., a residential
burglary was reported at an occupied residence within the 72000 block of Mesa View Drive, Palm Desert. The suspect entered the residence multiple times while the victims were sleeping and stole property from inside the residence. During the commission of the burglary, one of the victims interrupted the suspect, and a physical altercation ensued, causing physical injury to the victim. The suspect fled the scene and was not located.
In March 2025, the suspect was identified as Louis Moises Hernandez, a 38-year-old resident of Indio. On March 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., the Riverside Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit, Palm Desert Investigation’s Bureau, and the Palm Desert Station Special Enforcement Team located Hernandez in the 45000 block of Palmwood Court. Deputies attempted a vehicle stop, but Hernandez failed to yield, and a pursuit was initiated. Hernandez was ultimately apprehended without incident.
Hernandez was transported and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for home invasion robbery and residential burglary.
