Narcotics and Weapon Seizure in Vista 

March 15, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Thursday, March 13, around 1:00 p.m., deputies from the Vista Sheriff's Station's Community Policing and Problem-Solving Unit (COPPS) served a narcotics search warrant at a home in the 800 block of Wandering Road in Vista.

During the search of the home, deputies found the following items:

  • a registered Glock handgun
  • ammunition
  • Xanax pills
  • psilocybin mushrooms
  • about 12.99 grams of methamphetamine
  • about 22.26 grams of cocaine

All these items were seized by deputies. Ruben Novellan Feliciano (23) and Evelyn Gomez Herrera (23) were arrested on the following charges:

  • 273A(B) PC- child endangerment
  • 11378 HS- sale of a controlled substance
  • 11351 HS -sales of a narcotic controlled substance
  • 11370.1(A) PC- possession of firearm with a controlled substance

Herrera is also facing a charge of 29800(A)(1) PC- addict in possession of a firearm.

While serving the warrant, deputies found children living in the home. San Diego County's Child and Family Well-Being (CFWB) Department was contacted. After a preliminary investigation, CFWB placed the children with other family members.
