March 21, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, deputies from San Bernardino County Sheriff logothe San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Victorville Station responded to La Petite Academy, 14040 Bear Valley Road, Victorville, in reference to unknown blue pills located in a classroom. La Petite staff located/collected the pills and immediately notified law enforcement.

The responding deputy recognized the blue pills with “M30” imprinted on them as possible counterfeit pills which may contain fentanyl. The La Petite staff reviewed video surveillance and identified three children who appeared to have ingested the pills. La Petite notified the parents of the three children. The children, along with two staff members, were treated at local hospitals where at least one child tested positive for fentanyl.

On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Gang/Narcotic Divisions Overdose Response Team assumed the investigation and conducted additional interviews with staff and parents. La Petite staff is cooperating with law enforcement to help determine the origin of the pills.
