March 21, 2025 – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials report that Homicide Lieutenant Vizcarra, along with the Homicide Bureau, is seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the suspects responsible for the murder of Jose Manuel Rangel. The Board of Supervisors is offering a $20,000 reward in addition to a $10,000 reward that is being offered by the City of Cudahy. Making it a combined total of $30,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for his murder.

On Sunday, May 14, 2023, at approximately 4:00 P.M., Jose Manuel Rangel, was riding his bicycle on the Clara Street Bridge in the city of Cudahy, when he was confronted by two males who began to fight with him. During this fight, Jose was fatally shot multiple times before the males fled the scene on foot.
