Suspect Arrested for Attempted Murder
April 6, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on April 1, 2025, at 5:22 p.m., deputies
from the Colorado River Sheriff's Station were flagged down near the 7500 block of U.S. Highway 95 regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. The victim reported being strangled and was prevented from leaving the residence to seek help. The suspect was identified as 47-year-old Arturo Salcido Aguilar of Blythe. Arturo fled the scene before the deputies arrived.
On April 4, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., the Colorado River Sheriff's Station Investigations Unit and Special Enforcement Team, with the assistance of the Fugitive Warrant Enforcement Team, Major Crimes Unit, Emergency Services Team, and the Riverside Sheriff's K9 Unit, located Arturo in a vehicle near the 400 block of Chanslor Way, Blythe. Deputies attempted a vehicle stop, but Arturo ran from the vehicle. Arturo was apprehended with the assistance of the Sheriff's K9 Unit.
Arturo was later booked into the Blythe Jail for attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, victim intimidation, and burglary.
