Arrests Made in Armed Carjacking 

May 12, 2025 – Yuba City Police Department officials report that on May 9th, 2025, at 4:48 P.M., Yuba City Police Officers responded to the 1700 Block of Wildflower Circle. The victim reported being robbed at gunpoint and having his vehicle stolen along with other personal property. Through investigation, the suspects were identified as 30-year-old Nathanial Henson and 35-year-old Breana Vigil. 

On May 10th at approximately 10:00 A.M., an alert Yuba City patrol officer spotted the stolen vehicle in a parking lot in the 700 block of N. Palora Avenue and saw Mr. Henson walking away from it. Although Mr. Henson initially eluded capture, officers recovered the victim’s car, keys, and wallet at the scene. Through coordinated efforts using various investigative techniques, Yuba City Police Detectives and patrol officers located and took into custody both Mr. Henson and Ms. Vigil later that day. Both Mr. Henson and Ms. Vigil were booked into the Sutter County Jail on Carjacking and Robbery charges, along with outstanding warrants. 

During the investigation, it was determined that both Mr. Henson and Ms. Vigil were staying at a house in the 1300 block of Franklin Road. Yuba City Police detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence to try and locate additional stolen property, and the firearm used in the carjacking. At approximately 10:00 P.M. Yuba City Detectives and patrol officers served the search warrant. Neither the firearm nor stolen property were located, but approximately 400 rounds of ammunition were seized.
