Structure Fire in Spring Valley 

May 12, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report that at approximately 9:00 A.M., patrol deputies assigned to the Rancho San Diego Station responded to the 400 block of Grand Avenue, in Spring Valley to assist the Fire Department with a structural fire. Deputies and Fire Department personnel arrived and observed two rear patios of an apartment building engulfed in flames. The residents of the apartment building were safely evacuated as the fire was extinguished. There were no injuries. The residents of the affected apartments were connected with the Red Cross for relocation and shelter.

The Sheriff's Bomb/Arson Unit responded and assumed the investigation. Investigators and Fire personnel are continuing the investigation into the cause of the fire.
