May 25, 2025 – Yuba City Police Department officials release body cam video of officer rescuing an elderly woman from house fire.

This shows the first-hand account of not only bravery but remarkable compassion from Officer Morris as he rushed to save an elderly resident from a house fire.

Arriving ahead of fire crews Officer Morris alerted the residents to get out! Gently and without hesitation Officer Morris took the elderly woman by the hand and guided her safely to his patrol car. As firefighters worked to control the blaze, our officer stayed by her side speaking calmly, and making sure she knew she wasn’t alone.
