Fentanyl Sales Arrest and Firearms Seizure

June 23, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Saturday, June 21, 2025, members of the Hemet Special Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 41000 block of Beachwood Avenue in Hemet, where Andrew Green was a passenger. Green, a 24-year-old resident of Hemet, was recognized as having two felony warrants for his arrest related to narcotics sales. He was detained and found to have multiple plastic bags of fentanyl in his possession. The investigation at the traffic stop revealed that Green was engaged in the sale of fentanyl, prompting the team to obtain a search warrant for his residence.

During a search of Green's home, deputies discovered several more bags containing fentanyl, along with numerous items consistent with narcotics sales. Additionally, they located fourteen firearms, including unregistered pistols, a short-barreled automatic rifle, unregistered AR-15 rifles, a stolen AR-15, black powder rifles, and antique shotguns. Green, a convicted felon, was prohibited from accessing firearms. Green was arrested and booked into jail at the Cois Byrd Detention Center for fentanyl sales and multiple weapons violations. The investigation into the possession of the firearms is ongoing, and the Hemet Special Enforcement Team is seeking any information regarding the possibility that some of these firearms may have been stolen from unreported thefts.

Anyone with information regarding these firearms or this case should contact Deputy Ryan Weber at the Hemet Sheriff's Station at (951) 791-3400.

The Riverside Sheriff's Office is dedicated to providing proactive law enforcement and is focused on identifying and addressing criminal activity in our communities. Curbing illegal weapon possession and the sale of dangerous drugs such as fentanyl will continue to be a top priority.
