July 24, 2025 – Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office officials report that last month, a family in the City of Cupertino returned home to a nightmare. Both of their luxury cars, electronics, and $18,000 worth of jewelry were stolen! The suspects didn’t stop there. They used the stolen Porsches to commit a series of burglaries across San Jose and the Bay Area.

Our Regional Auto Theft Task Force, working closely with Sheriff’s Office detectives, launched an intensive investigation that led them to the Hayes Mansion Hotel in San Jose. A coordinated operation was carried out, resulting in the arrest of three suspects on charges including identity theft, fraud, drug possession and possession of burglary tools.
