Partnering to Protect Our Children: DA Summer Stephan Speaks at Qualcomm 

July 30, 2025 – San Diego County District Attorney's Office announced that on Tuesday, District Attorney DA Summer Stephan was honored to speak with employees at Qualcomm, as part of their Security Awareness Month Event sharing critical insights into the real and rising threats facing today’s youth — including online exploitation, sextortion, bullying, and school-related dangers.

As a nationally recognized leader in the fight against human trafficking and child exploitation, DA Stephan is committed to equipping parents, guardians, and communities with the tools they need to protect children in both digital and real-world spaces.

This important session provided Qualcomm employees with:

• A clear understanding of today’s most urgent risks to children
• Key trends in youth-targeted crimes and online exploitation
• Warning signs that a child may be in danger
• Practical strategies for prevention and early intervention.
