Shooting Suspect Arrested
August 8, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 9:20 P.M., deputies assigned to the Hemet Sheriff’s Station responded to the 41000 block of Highway 74 in the unincorporated area of Hemet regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male suffering from injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition. The suspect fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival.
Deputies learned that the victim had been in an altercation with the suspect over a minor traffic collision prior to the shooting. During the altercation, the suspect also attempted to rob the victim.
Later, the suspect, 27-year-old Kenneth Green of Hemet, returned to the crime scene and turned himself in. Green was arrested and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and criminal threats.
