Fatal Traffic Collision 

August 19, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Monday, August 18, 2025, about 4:46 riverside county sheriff logoa.m., deputies assigned to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Rutile Street and 50th Street, Jurupa Valley, regarding a major-injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. When deputies arrived on-scene, they located the pedestrian lying on Rutile Street, south of 50th Street, with obvious signs of death and was pronounced deceased. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured, remained at the scene, and cooperated with the investigation.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and it is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision. The identity of the pedestrian will not be released at this time, pending notification to the next of kin.

The collision investigation required the temporary closure of Rutile Street, between Jurupa Road and 50th Street, in order to process the scene and collect evidence.
