Update - Death Investigation – Valley Center 

August 22, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on July 16, 2025, at approximately 5:00 a.m., Investigators from the San Diego Sheriff's Office served a search warrant at a residence in the 14800 block of Oak Creek Rd., in Valley Center, after receiving information related to an on-going investigation. San Diego Sheriff's Office Homicide Detectives, with the assistance of the Special Enforcement Detail, Sheriff's Search & Rescue, Sheriff's Crime Lab, personnel from the Valley Center Sheriff's Substation, Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), private entities, and the San Diego District Attorney's Office conducted a search operation for 65-year-old Nadine Jett. Investigators discovered skeletal remains of a human body buried on the 20-acre property.

The Medical Examiner's Office has officially confirmed the human remains as those of Ms. Nadine Jett.  At this time, no arrests have been made. Detectives with the San Diego County Sheriff's Office continue to pursue all leads and are working diligently to uncover the circumstances surrounding Ms. Jett’s death.
