Man Dies While In-Custody at Hospital; Investigation Underway 

September 4, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Tuesday, September San Bernardino County Sheriff logo2, 2025, at about 3:15 p.m., nursing staff at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center discovered Inmate Caesar Rogers had stopped breathing. A physician responded and Rogers was pronounced deceased. Rogers had been receiving treatment for a serious medical condition since his incarceration in 2023.  

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division responded and assumed the investigation.  

Rogers was arrested on March 18, 2023, by the San Bernardino Police Department for PC 211 – Robbery and booked in at the Central Detention Center.  He was later transferred to the West Valley Detention Center where he remained until his death.
