Hit-and-Run Arrest in Santee 

September 10, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on September 9th, 2025, at about 6:02 P.M., Sheriff's Deputies san diego county sheriff department logoresponded to reports of a hit and run collision near Prospect Avenue and North Magnolia Avenue in the city of Santee. The suspect vehicle was described as a green SUV. At the same time, the El Cajon Police Department broadcast a, "be on the lookout" bulletin for a similar SUV that collided with several vehicles in the city of El Cajon. At about 6:38 P.M., a wrong way driver was reported by a caller in Santee. The vehicle was a match, a green SUV.

An off-duty Sheriff's Sergeant located the suspect vehicle traveling southbound on Timberlane Way. The suspect vehicle collided with two vehicles at Mast Boulevard and Bilteer Drive. A driver of one vehicle received injuries as a result of the collision. The suspect vehicle veered off the roadway and impacted an SDG&E power box. The 34-year-old male suspect appeared to be intoxicated and was taken into Sheriff's custody without incident. He was transported to an area Hospital for treatment. The suspect has not been identified at this time and the investigation remains on-going.
