9/18/25 Update Per San Diego Police Department: Robert Alden has been found and is now safe and sound.

Thank you to Robert’s family and friends along with volunteers working with San Diego Sheriff’s search and rescue team finding Robert and getting him back to safety.

Finding Robert would not have been possible without the effective use of our ALPR license plate reader system.

SDPD Needs Your Help Locating Mr. Robert Alden 

September 15, 2025 – San Diego Police Department officials report that on September 14th, 2025, at 6:45 P.M., Mr. Alden was reported missing by his family from the area of 6700 Friars Road. He was last seen on foot at about noon. Robert suffers from memory issues and is considered AT RISK.

Robert was last seen wearing a light blue Polo shirt, and unknown color pants or shorts. Robert is described as a 77-year-old, White male, with grey hair, hazel eyes, 5’10” tall, and about 175 lbs.
