September 15, 2025 – YUBA COUNTY, CA – Yuba County Sheriff's Department officials report that on Monday, September 8, Yuba SO inmate death2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., correctional officers at the Yuba County Jail responded to an inmate experiencing a medical emergency. Officers, along with on-site medical staff, immediately began life-saving measures until paramedics and fire personnel arrived to take over care. Despite their combined efforts, the inmate was pronounced deceased.

The inmate, a 39-year-old male who had been in custody since his arrest in August 2025, is not being identified, pending notification of next of kin.

The official cause of death will be determined by the Yuba County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office following autopsy and toxicology testing.
