Driving Under the Influence Traffic Collision 

October 1, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on September 29, 2025, about 2:15 a.m., deputies riverside county sheriff logofrom the Perris Sheriff Station responded to the intersection of Case Road and Murrieta Road, Perris, regarding the report of a major injury traffic collision. Upon arrival, deputies located an overturned vehicle blocking the railroad tracks and the injured driver on the side of the roadway. The driver was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Perris Traffic Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver, identified as Daniel Bahena-Mederos, a 27-year-old resident of Hemet, was driving while intoxicated when he collided with a fixed K-rail on Case Road. This is an ongoing investigation, and no additional details will be released.
