Fatal Traffic Collision
October 6, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report that on October 4, 2025, at 12:53 a.m., deputies
assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station responded to a major injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the area of Dexter Avenue, and 11th Street, Lake Elsinore. Deputies located the collision scene and were informed that the driver had transported the pedestrian to the hospital in their vehicle. Deputies responded to the hospital and contacted the driver and the pedestrian.
The Lake Elsinore Station's Traffic Team assumed the investigation. The driver of the vehicle was cooperative with the investigation, and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision.
On October 5, 2025, deputies were notified that the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld pending notification to the next of kin. This is an ongoing investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time. The case will be submitted to the Riverside County District Attorney's Office for review at a later time.
