Yucaipa Man Arrested for the Murder of His Brother 

November 3, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Friday, October 31, 2025, at San Bernardino County Sheriff logoapproximately 7:20 a.m., Yucaipa deputies responded to a medical aid in the 12000 block of Sixth Street, in the City of Yucaipa. Matthew Ludwig called and reported his brother, Larry Adams, was not breathing. Deputies responded and found Adams deceased in the living room. Due to the circumstances of the death, Ludwig was detained without incident and was also found to have an outstanding felony warrant.

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded to the location and assumed the investigation.  Through investigation, detectives found multiple inconsistencies in Ludwig’s story. Ludwig was arrested for PC187-Murder and his outstanding warrant and remains in custody at the Central Detention Center.
