Parking Fail Leads to Drug Trail! 

November 3, 2025 – Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office officials report that deputies Torres and Diaz were patrolling the Safeway parking lot in City of Cupertino when they spotted a car with expired tags parked in a handicapped spot.

What started as a routine check turned into something more serious. Inside the car, they found meth, heroin, loaded syringes, and other drug-related items. Two women and a 7-year-old girl were nearby.

One of the women, Shaylah Ohara, 37, of Santa Clara, admitted the meth was hers and said she planned to sell it. She was arrested for drug possession, intent to sell, and child endangerment.
