Organized Retail Theft Suspects Arrested
November 14, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on October 20, 2025, deputies from the Thermal
Sheriff Station assigned to the La Quinta Business District Team began an investigation into an Organized Retail Theft Crew targeting multiple businesses within the city of La Quinta. During the investigation, deputies determined four females were responsible for the thefts. The same females were also connected to 28 separate thefts throughout Southern California, totaling over $50,000 in merchandise.
La Quinta Business District Team deputies worked with loss prevention employees to obtain a vehicle description. They identified the four suspects as Jocelyn Robledo, a 23-year-old resident of Arizona; Patricia Garcia, a 45-year-old resident of Baldwin Park; Raylina Nemeth, a 27-year-old resident of Whittier; and Irma Nemeth, a 32-year-old resident of Whittier.
On November 10, 2026, deputies located a vehicle matching the description of the suspects in the area of Cook Street and Country Club Drive, Palm Desert. Deputies conducted an enforcement stop of the vehicle, and all four suspects were taken into custody without incident. During the stop, deputies located and recovered approximately $12,000 in merchandise. All four suspects were arrested and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center for theft, organized retail theft, and petty theft with priors.
