Arrests Made in Car-to-Car Shooting 

November 21, 2025 – Yuba City Police Department officials report that on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:20 Yuba Police logoP.M. Yuba City Police officers responded to the 1600 block of Stabler Lane due to several callers reporting hearing shots fired. When officers arrived on scene, they located several shell casings in the roadway. Through the initial investigation, officers determined this was a car-to-car shooting and spoke to several witnesses.

The Yuba City Police Investigation Unit responded to the scene and began tracking down leads and collecting evidence. On Wednesday November 19, 2025, 19-year-old Marcos Walters was arrested by Investigators for accessory to a crime, shooting from a vehicle, and shooting at an occupied vehicle. He was booked into the Sutter County Jail. On Thursday November 20, 2025, with the assistance of the Yuba/Sutter SWAT team, Investigators arrested 19-year-old Taeden Penn on the charge of attempted murder, and he was booked into the Sutter County Jail.

Though arrests in this case have been made, the investigation is still active and on-going and additional arrests are expected to be made. The motive for this shooting is still under investigation as well.
