Critical Incident Video - Alpine
November 22, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials report that the San Diego County Sheriff's Office is releasing video from a deputy-involved shooting that occurred on November 5, 2025, in Alpine.
We are committed to transparency, public trust and compliance with the law.
Pursuant to Assembly Bill 1506 (AB 1506), the California Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating and will independently review this deputy-involved shooting.
Upon completion of the investigation, it will be submitted to the DOJ’s Special Prosecutions Section within the Criminal Law Division for independent review. For more information on DOJ’s role and responsibilities under AB 1506, click here.
