Serious Injury Collision in Imperial Beach 

December 22, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that a serious injury collision involving a vehicle and a E-bicyclist in Imperial Beach is under investigation.

On Saturday, December 20, 2025, at about 2:39 p.m., deputies from the Imperial Beach Sheriff's Substation responded to reports of a collision at the intersection of Imperial Beach Blvd. and California Street.

Upon arrival, deputies learned the collision occurred between a silver Chevrolet Malibu and a minor riding a bicycle. The bicyclist landed in the eastbound lanes of Imperial Beach Boulevard.

Paramedics provided medical aid at the scene, and the bicyclist was ultimately transported by ambulance to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the Malibu remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The investigation determined the driver to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DUI.
