Fatal Traffic Collision 

January 14, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 9:10 p.m., deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the intersection of Moreno Beach Drive and Auto Mall Drive regarding a major injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and motorcycle. Upon arrival, deputies located both vehicles with significant damage. The motorcycle rider was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased. A subject who was seen running from the vehicle was located a short time later and arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sale and a probation violation.

The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation. The motorcycle rider was later identified as Marvonna Vaxter, a 25-year-old resident of Moreno Valley. The collision investigation is ongoing, and deputies are still working to identify the driver of the vehicle. No further information is available at this time.
