Fatal Traffic Collision 

January 28, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on January 27, 2026, at 10:05 a.m., deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Warren Road and Ramona Expressway, San Jacinto, regarding a traffic collision. Upon arrival, deputies located a two-vehicle traffic collision, with one driver unresponsive. The driver was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased. The other driver remained at the scene and was uninjured.

The San Jacinto Traffic Team responded and assumed the investigation. The deceased driver was identified as Latrenda Mitchell, a 58-year-old resident of Hemet. Alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the collision, and no arrests have been made. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.
