March 19, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 3:22 p.m., riverside county sheriff logodeputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the 14000 block of Woodlark Lane in Moreno Valley, regarding an unresponsive female. Upon arrival, deputies located 23-year-old Elana Davis, who was unresponsive and not breathing. Life-saving measures were attempted, but paramedics ultimately pronounced Davis deceased at the scene.

During the preliminary investigation, deputies learned Davis had been in a physical altercation with a family member. During the altercation, she lost consciousness and stopped breathing. Based on the circumstances, investigators from the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. No further information will be released at this time.
