Hit-and-Run Severely Injures Pedestrian

April 11, 2026 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the Central Traffic Division LAPD logodetectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision that severely injured a woman in her 40’s.

On February 7, 2026, around 3:25 a.m., an unidentified dark vehicle was traveling southbound on Broadway from 46th Street when it collided into a pedestrian who was walking across Broadway. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop, render aid, and remain at scene, as required by law and fled southbound on Broadway.

The Los Angeles Fire Department’s paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where she was treated for severe injuries.

Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
