Proactive Case highlight!!! 

June 3, 2026 – San Benito County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Monday night, on June 2, 2026, Deputy Slibsager contacted an adult male, parked in the parking lot of Taco Bell on Tres Pinos Road. Through speaking with the subject, Deputy Slibsager learned the adult male was on probation for a previous offense.

As Deputy Slibsager, and his partner, Deputy Rivas, began conducting a probation search of the male and his vehicle, Deputy Slibsager located two firearms inside the vehicle; An unserialized “P80 style” ghost gun, and a small .380 pistol, which had the serial number obliterated.

The adult male was ultimately lodged at the San Benito County jail for several firearm related violations.
