July 31, 2026 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at about 10:14 p.m., deputies in Chino Hills were dispatched to the 2100 block of Monteverde Drive. The reporting party heard gunshots and heard someone screaming. While deputies were responding, they located the suspect vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and attempted a traffic stop. The driver failed to yield and led deputies on a short pursuit that ended on Wandering Ridge Drive.
