Fatal Traffic Collision 

August 1, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 2:04 a.m., deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Lake Park Drive regarding a major injury traffic collision involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, deputies located the pedestrian unresponsive in the roadway. Deputies and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the pedestrian was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene.

The San Jacinto Station’s Traffic Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation. The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification. The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor at this time. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and no further details will be released at this time.
