August 12, 2026 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Monday, August 10, 2026, at about 3:37 a.m., deputies from Victorville responded to a residence after a male subject, identified as Matthew Valle, was found unresponsive inside.  Emergency medical personnel arrived and Valle was pronounced deceased.  

The Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation.
