Home Invasion Suspect Arrested
August 13, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 12:55 p.m., deputies
from Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the 25000 block of Glen Eden Road, in the unincorporated area of Riverside County known as Temescal Valley, regarding a report of a robbery. Multiple callers reported a robbery had occurred at the location where the suspect brandished a firearm, demanded valuables, and fled the area.
Upon arrival, deputies obtained a description of the suspect and, with assistance from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station, Riverside Sheriff’s K9 Unit, and Sheriff’s Aviation Unit, began a search of the area. During the search, the suspect, later identified as 20-year-old David Cordero of Los Angeles, was located and taken into custody without incident.
During the investigation, additional victims were identified, but no injuries were reported. Evidence related to the robberies, including stolen property, was also located during the search.
Cordero was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for home invasion robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and brandishing a weapon. This investigation remains ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
