Silver Alert Issued for Missing 68-Year-Old Woman 

August 18, 2026 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the family and friends of Mariko Yamagami, along with the Los Angeles Police Department, are seeking the public’s help in locating him.

On August 13, 2026, around 6:40 a.m., 68-year-old Ms. Yamagami was last seen near the 6600 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard heading southbound. Ms. Yamagami suffers from Dementia.

Ms. Yamagami is described as a Japanese female, grey hair, brown eyes, stands about 5’ 6” and weighs approximately 160 pounds. She is medium build. She has a light complexion and was last seen wearing a grey shirt, black pants, and white shoes.
