Homicide in Santee 

September 15, 2026 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Monday, September 14, 2026, at approximately 2:10 p.m., deputies from the Santee Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at a residence located in the 10800 block of Grand Fork Drive in Santee. Upon entering the property, deputies located an adult male suffering from traumatic injuries.

Shortly afterward, deputies contacted a second adult male on the property, also suffering from traumatic injuries. He was transported to a local hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries. He has been arrested and is being questioned by investigators. Paramedics responded to the scene. The first male located inside the property was pronounced deceased at approximately 2:30 p.m.

The circumstances and motive surrounding this incident remain under investigation. Based on the information gathered so far, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
