San Diego County Deputies Arrest Suspect Wanted for Homicide in Jamul

UPDATE – Homicide Investigation in Jamul

September 23, 2026 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at approximately 12:20 a.m., deputies from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 16000 block of Loose Creek Road in Jamul. Deputies searched the residence but did not locate any victims.

Shortly thereafter, the Alpine Fire Protection District notified the Sheriff’s Office that a shooting victim had arrived at their fire station. Emergency personnel provided lifesaving medical aid; however, the adult male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

On Monday, September 21, 2026, the Sheriff’s Homicide Unit, with assistance from the San Diego Fugitive Task Force, located and arrested 22‑year‑old Larren Daniel for the murder of Juliez Mosley. Daniel was booked into the San Diego Central Jail on a charge of murder.

Daniel is scheduled to be arraigned on September 24, 2026, at the East County Superior Court.

Sheriff’s Homicide detectives continue to investigate the case. They are interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence to determine the circumstances and motive behind the incident. Based on the information obtained so far, investigators believe this was an isolated incident and there is no known threat to the community.
