Homicide Detectives Launch Murder Investigation Following a Shooting that Killed a Juvenile and Wounded an 18-Year-Old 

September 30, 2026 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Monday, September 28, 2026, at about 2:28 a.m., deputies from the Sheriff’s Central Station responded to the area of East 34th Street and Del Rey Drive, in San Bernardino, for a report of shots heard.  When deputies arrived, they located two male subjects who had been shot.  One of the victims, a 15-year-old male, was found in the road on 34th Street and the other was located on a porch of a residence in the 3300 block of North Alameda Avenue, after he fled the area to get help.  Both victims were transported to the hospital where the juvenile was pronounced deceased.  

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation.  The suspect has not been located and the investigation is ongoing.
