May 25, 2018 - I have been impressed with the quality of Heather Bernikoff’s thinking, knowledge and ability to understand trends. I am a farmer in District 3 with a young family. While I appreciate Heather’s work to protect agriculture in our county, I have been equally appreciative of her thinking beyond the issue at hand to consider how our agricultural lands might be used as mechanisms for revenue generation for the County through AB 32 compliance and Cap and Trade funding, further solidifying their protection. I want my children to have the option to farm if they choose, to know that ag land will be here for them. This kind of long-term, comprehensive thinking is so vital in an increasingly complex and ever changing world. I cannot stress enough that we need leadership that thinks in the 21^st century with firm roots in our rural values. That is Heather.

Additionally, I appreciate how she considers all people’s perspectives. I have witnessed her listen and heard her provide common sense responses on many issues during this campaign. If you have not met her yet, please reach out to her campaign. I hope you will be as impressed as we were.  My wife and I will be voting for Heather on June 5. We hope you will too.
