September 13, 2018 - School Board members must reside in the district they represent, but they are voted on by the entire County. If you are a voter, when making your choice, please base it on who has the background, experience, and proven commitment that make her best qualified to serve Mariposa’s public school students, staff, and school sites in this important position. The clear choice is Judy Eppler.

In addition to the 40+ years of relevant public school experience Judy lists on her Candidate Statement, Judy was a charter member of Kids First in 1994 and continues to be on its board. She helped to form and is an active member of Mariposa AAUW, a club that also helps public school students. For years, Judy has shown her commitment to our youth both in her career and in her free time.

Sierra Foothill Charter School is overseen by the Mariposa County Unified School District. As an MCUSD board member for the past 7 years, Judy has been very supportive, helpful, and responsive to SFCS. Judy embraces SFCS as "our school, our students,” as she recently said to me. She wants SFCS to continue to succeed.

When I have contacted Judy regarding items related to the high school and the school district in general, Judy has always been responsive and helpful, including following up with me to make sure items were satisfactorily resolved.

When I have gone to MCUSD board meetings over the years, I’ve noticed that Judy always shows up prepared and asks good questions before making decisions. It's obvious from her questions and comments how much she knows and how much she cares about all schools, staff, and students.

Judy is an excellent school board member. She has the background in education, historical knowledge, and the skills necessary to help MCUSD resolve the many pending items it has on the table as well as those that will come up in the future. Please join me in voting for Judy Eppler.
