2. To discuss or argue formally.
The definition goes on. What we saw Thursday was not a debate of any kind. it was a question and answer session without any substance whatsoever.
It appeared to be a media circus.
That number of people cannot engage in a meaningful dialogue about anything.
I came away with a complete sense of disappointment with the direction this country is going in.
The American public is letting the media rule their thinking and it deserves exactly what it is getting.
