On Tuesday, June 6, 2017 Sierra Foothill Charter School students in all grade levels traveled to Catheys Valley Park where they had the opportunity to take a close look at a CHP helicopter and hear from the pilot and first officer/paramedic about all of its uses. They also checked out equipment and heard information about the Mariposa County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue team. All of the students' many good questions were answered. Sgt. Chris Ramirez from the Sheriff's Office, lead for its Search and Rescue operations, arranged these interesting and informative presentations for students.
