July 7, 2017 - The National Weather Service Hanford office reports a Heat Advisory is in effect for the San Joaquin Valley for Friday and Saturday.

Highs will reach around 105 degrees to slightly above.

Friday will be a very hot day across central California, although Saturday is expected to be a little hotter.

Take precautions to combat the heat.

Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water.

Limit outdoor strenuous activities during the hottest time of the day.

Help elderly, kids & pets stay cool.

Seek air-conditioned buildings.

Wear loose fitting, light-colored clothing and a hat.

Make sure your pets/animals have a cool area to stay.
